The Ottawa Hospital is at the centre of health care in Ottawa and is one of Canada’s largest learning and research hospitals. We care for patients from the Ottawa region, eastern Ontario, western Quebec, and Nunavut.

At our three campuses and many satellite sites, we pride ourselves in caring for our patients and their families with compassion and skill. We make world-first discoveries, develop made-in-Ottawa treatments, and teach the bright medical minds of tomorrow. Developing our new campus gives us the opportunity to transform the future of health care by building on our existing world-class training and research.

We do all of this with an eye for excellence and continuous improvement. The Ottawa Hospital is currently Accredited with Exemplary Standing by Accreditation Canada – the organization’s highest standard for hospitals.

The hospital is governed by a Board of Governors, made up of volunteer community members from across the region with diverse skills and experiences. The Board is leading Ottawa into a new era of integrated healthcare, focusing on serving the next generation as we build our new campus.

The Board is responsible for providing strategic leadership and ensuring the hospital stays true to the mission of providing world-class compassionate care.

The Board of Governors welcomes input from members of the public.
